My 8 Week Body Transformation. Before & After Pics. How I Lost Weight Fast

The pictures on the left were taken 8 weeks ago. Back in April I committed to shaping up after winter, but I had NO IDEA just how much I had slacked off. (…whoa, Josie). I hereby nominate myself to be the poster child for how fitness has its ups and down. Despite being consistent with my workouts in the winter, my food choices were less than ideal due to the holidays, and also because of Gracie’s competition schedule that required me to travel and eat out a lot.2016 before after front view2

On the day that I snapped my before pics, when I saw the reality of how I had slacked off, I was honestly feeling down and disappointed in myself. I had a pity party for about 24 hours, received encouragement from my wonderful family, and then quickly refocused to take charge and get it all together.

I knew what it was going to take to whip myself back into shape WITHOUT dieting. I went into the next 8 weeks like a warrior princess hell-bent on reclaiming my body. And I did just that!

For all the mommies out there who need some encouragement: I’m 43 years old. I have 4 kids (3 of them were by c-section). My kids are ages 23, 20, 11 & 7. I’m also a grandmother to a 21-month old little girl. I am not a special case when I comes to all this weight loss stuff. There is no difference between you and I. Just dig deep and pull out the unrelenting determination you already possess to get it done!

    I try to limit my pasta or rice once a week. I love rice….I drink my calories which is a huge problem. I don’t eat a lot either I normally eat one big brunch and then a small small dinner. I have heard that I need to eat more a day but I have to make myself do it. I drink tea…..3 times a day…the sweet one from zaxby….*cries*

    Wow and wow! You look amazing!

    Working extra over the past few months has gotten me out of my exercise routine, and while i tend to eat very clean, organic brown rice has played too big a part in my meals lately because it’s fast. Back to IF and smoothies and fitting in more exercise where i can, you’ve inspired me!

    Dairy doesn’t bloat me but pasta and broccoli do. Boo!
    I find bread and butter to be necessary too.
    Also, love this! You are wonderful!

    HI! I’ve read almost everything you have posted very informative and encouraging. I love it! And I thank you for taking the time and sharing this information with us. I do have a question though because I’ve tried the relentless Jake videos and will I can barely keep up( but I do what I can ) lol .. Did you just do the videos with body weight strength training or did you do with weights / machines or both?

      Hi Sonia. There are a few of Jake’s videos that I do that use weights with. I have dumbbells at home. No machines. I am working on a post that highlights/recommends the best specific youtube videos for what a person is wanting to accomplish with their body transformation. For example: best cardio workout, best strength workouts, best quick workouts, etc… Please look out for that soon. Thank you for your question and thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!
