How I Cleared My Cat’s Eye Infection With Colloidal Silver (No Vet Visit)

This is the dang cat. Kitty is very mean and will scratch anybody to shreds in a hot second.

I’m convinced there is not only one, but several million evil bones growing in this feline’s body. Nevertheless, she is my Kitty and I love her. It’s like I have a case of Stockholm Syndrome or something. Ugggh!

Recently we noticed Kitty had some icky, thick gook oozing from her eyes. I felt bad because we had been away on a trip, and the day we got home is when we noticed her eye infection. I’m certain she was miserable and wanted to claw at me over the matter.

I didn’t panic, though. I knew I wouldn’t have to call a vet, and was confident I could fix up Kitty in a jiffy. The same as I did when Grace had pink eye several times, I went straight for my colloidal silver.

colloidal silver brands

I have experience with various brands of colloidal silver, including even more than what’s pictured here. I’ve found the results to be effective no matter which reputable brand is chosen. I’ve used 10-20ppm varieties and don’t find it necessary to use anything overpowering, like 500ppm. That’s just crazy. For ear and eye infections there is never a question in my mind of if the silver will work. I know darn well it well.

CAT EYE INFECTION TREATMENT

1. First tried my colloidal gel on Kitty. I figured would be easier to administer to the cat if I just slathered it on the eye, but that method was a bit clumsy. The gel only clumped onto her hair with barely any of it getting into her eye.

2. Next I filled the cap of the liquid silver bottle with approximately 4 drops of silver. Matthew held Kitty down while I poured in into her eye. Be ready for your cat to go completely batshit crazy when you do this. The poor feline has no idea what’s going on to begin with, and the silver does sting for a quick second.

3. Typically with a human, I administer colloidal silver 2-3 times a day until the infection clears, then continue to administer 1x per day for an extra 2 days (this is important to keep the infection from coming back). But with Kitty I only did it 1x a day for 3 days because I felt she would get weary from all the trauma of us giving her the medicine. The results were fantastic. No vet required.

Colloidal silver will not harm your cat, and I’ve come across zero reports of it harming other animals. It’s a good idea to keep colloidal silver in your home for situations like this, as well as for treating cuts and burns. Read my full write up on Colloidal Silver Facts, Benefits and Risks to learn why silver is a powerful natural antibiotic you need to keep around. I even pack a small bottle whenever I’m traveling.

What do you think of Kitty’s happy healing? Leave me a comment and let me know!

It looks like a very happy healing! And you certainly saved yourself the $3,000 it would have cost at the vet. Or is that just my vet?

Dear gawwwd. My cat has never been to the vet ever. We took her to the Animal Humane Association to get fixed and to get her shots. It only cost us $40, but they don’t do sick visits.

Dansig has chronic eye infection that will continue to come back his whole life. When it flares up, i use the colloidal silver and it takes care of it. It works, and it’s cheaper than what the vet wants to sell me.

I’m so sorry for Dansig, but he has a really good mimi-mommy to care for him. You are so good to those cats.

Great info! Probably and easier way is to use an eye dropper. Then, with Matthew holding her down, approach her head from behind. If she doesn’t see something coming at her, she’s surprised and doesn’t react immediately. I have five cats and work in animal rescue. If she is a real fighter (doesn’t sound like it) wrap her in a towel. The trick is to get her head to tilt back so the pill/drops do not run out of her eye or she doesn’t spit it out. Also, here’s some funny info for you: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC372253/

It already looks better after one day I’m so relieved my cat Snoopy only lets three people pet her & I was not looking forward to taking her to the vet or the vet bill(they get outrageous really fast)

    Thanks Josie!

I’m going to try gel on my Kitty as I don’t have any liquid silver at home… it might help until I get to the shop. Good thing he is my least batshit crazy cat, so I should get away with treating him.

I’m convinced his squinty eye is just a plot to get me to cuddle him instead of work.

Can I also say I LOVE the way you write, so much better then boring instructions you typically see when you search medical things.

    Cheers!

Hi Andrea! I hope the gel is working out well for your Kitty, although I am convinced their is definitely a cuddling plot brewing. hehehe. Thank you so much for your feedback on my writing style. I appreciate it!

Thanks for confirming that Colloidal Silver is safe for cats. I have a persian that came from a breeder with a nasty eye problem called herpes. Its a $1600 operation and no guarantee it won’t come back. She can see, but has a cloud on each eye. Poor little Daisy 🙁
Do you think its ok to spray a small amount directly into each eye or should I dilute it if you say it stings? The brand I have is called Life Choice.

Hi Jen. I’ve never used the Life Choice brand, but in general, the silver is fine to be sprayed without diluting. I cannot thing of a situation where I would ever dilute silver. The sting is very minor and quick, if at all. Any sting would maybe last a second or two at most. I hope little Daisy has a full recovery!

Hi, my cat callie has herpies of the eyes too. She has had this problem for 1 1/2 years. I have spent a lot of money on vet visits, eye medicine, pills, and l-lysine powder. I give my cat 3 different eye drops a day, put pills down her throat, and l-lysine powder on her food. This is a lot I go through everyday.
