…until now, that is.
This was some experimental practice in self control. How long could I be cupcake-less without going completely batshit? When would I give in to the compelling of my stomachs and the commands of my greedy jawbone? One… two… maybe 3 weeks or more?
I’ve been doing these mini experiments in going without specific treats for extended periods of time as a way of bolstering my self control and discipline. It also helps nip in the bud any over-greediness I sense is creeping in.
The experiments are occasional and I don’t always get it 100% right, but the more I do them, the better my self control gets.
My biggest takeaway so far: I’m not going to die and wither away into nothingness if I don’t get a treat when I want it.
