Husband suffered an emergency deodorant shortage, so I hee-hauled to the store to buy him some more before the man fumes assaulted my inner nostril.
And look what I saw in the huge-azz store window.
This picture has no headline. No sales pitch. No promise of a beautiful transformation, yet my first reaction from a quick glance was: Eh, just another young flawless-type chick hogging up a fashion photo.
But then I did a double take. I had to get a closer look because I thought my eyeballs were deceiving.
That chick is NOT twenty-something. And she has wrinkles too!
The store put an older woman with fine lines and wrinkles in a gigantic picture and plastered it on their wall.
Are they allowed to do that? Isn’t the image of flawed women against the laws of this land where the excessively skinny and perfect-faced people rule the world?
This picture was fantastic to see. She is imperfect with her wrinkles, yet perfectly beautiful. Thank you Rite Aid store, for recognizing the diversity of beauty.
(….and if you look real close you can kinda see my reflection snapping the pic)
