I know what you’re thinking. Could this be the leftover barf chips from that tainted McDonald’s meal I ate in 1996?
Ya. I looks really nasty, but the family was intrigued. Those gremlins allowed me one lone bite of this Stouffer’s Roast Beef & Cheddar Toasted Sub while they pounced on the rest like a pack of rabid sea lions.
According to my one little bite, it was good. My tasting sensors did not short circuit from putrid flavors. The bread is crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. The cheese didn’t taste cheap, and the virtually non-existent meat had good flavor.
Sometimes ugly food tastes good. This thing has way too much sodium and absurd fat content, but the calorie count is acceptable. Stouffer’s Roast Beef Sub is a better alternative to lunch at Joe’s Sub Shop for triple the calories.
But why does the box say “bakery fresh”? Who buys subs at a bakery?
