Easy Homemade Detox Tea

There’s probably gazillions of ways a homemade detox tea can be done. But when you’re short on time like I usually am? Let’s just keep it easy, my friends…

detox tea

The thermos that I use is fancy. Don’t ya think??

Not only does lemon juice keep the body in an alkaline state to fight disease and prevent your body from becoming a living sewer, the other benefits of lemon water are pretty sa-weeet!

  • Hot filtered water, cooled down to warm
  • 1/2 fresh squeezed lemon (adjust amount of lemon juice to taste)

I use this cheap & nifty citrus tool to squeeze my lemons, and a hot tea thermos makes life easier when you’re on go. So ya, there’s no excuse for not detoxing the easy way.

To enjoy the tea most definitely, don’t sip on hot water. Waiting until it cools down to warm is best if you wanna slurp it in a state of relaxation and luxury. If you’re the kind of person who might drink this almost everyday, consider using a straw to eliminate the harshness of the lemon juice on your teeth’s enamel. M’kay?

I love this detox. I use it all the time! Great tip about the straw, this can be hard on your teeth :-)

  2. Just got back from a greedfest of massive proportions as I had to sample every freakn’ free sample I could get my hands on at the Natural Products Expo over the weekend, even if the only Natural thing about a lot of the crap was that they want people to pay them a lot of money for it, naturally. So I can use buckets and buckets of detoxing! I have bloated up to blimp size, will lemons make it all better? Please say yes!

I’ve never done a detox – a little scared about what might happen if I try one.

  7. I do this every morning, first thing, but I do about 3/4 of a cup of water to half a lemon, squeezed. And a straw is a must to preserve the teeth from the acid. But my coworker always has a full bottle of that detox tea going on, so I might try the extended version. Love the blue and white thermos, by the way!

There’s indeed so much benefits from drinking detox tea like yours. For me it detox my liver as sometimes it’s working overtime with my gallbladder which was removed = less painful moments.
