Tasting! Stonyfield Yo Kids Yogurt
January 27th, 2010 • 20 Comments | Leave a Comment »
My kids won’t leave me ‘lone. They half-azz on their chores and pick my pockets like professionals. I am victimized and traumatized. And now I’ve gone allergic.
Symptoms of “I’m allergic to my kids” include:
Despite this wicked allergy I remain faithful to the brood. I could say “screw it!” and feed them that yogurt with the rainbow artificial-ness, but my love for these brats compels me to buy them Stonyfield Yo Kids Yogurt instead.
It’s low fat. It’s organic. It’s got 25% less sugar than the other kind. I’m gonna eat it too.
The taste of less sugar is apparent, but in a refreshing kind of way; the flavoring is more natural, not overpowered with artificial-ness. If your kid is addicted to the rainbow stuff they may require weaning. If they’re new to yogurt, feed them Stonyfield Yo Kids right from the start.
Flavor varieties include Strawberry Vanilla & Raspberry OR Banilla (with a B) & Raspberry. You can also buy the squeezer tubes.
P.S. There are NO cartoon characters on the package. So don’t freak out.

Greedy Kid #1: NO way. I want mine with High Fructose Corn Syrup in it.
Greedy Kid #2: It’s organic? The taste isn’t real strong.
Greedy Baby:<—she eats it every day.
Yum UP! to: Voice yelling and cussing. Sometimes I just need to vent.

Big fan. Worth the price. I get mine usually at Target, but there is a big grocery store that has it even cheaper, but the 15 mile trek there isn’t really worth it. I do <3 HFS!!

Sounds like something I’d like! I can’t stand the fake overpowering sugariness(?) of some yogurt

Ah, the benefits of being a parent. You buy the food, they have to eat it. At least that’s how it went in my house growing up!
You’re post was too funny.

Clever writer you are! My favorite yogurt is Vermont Butterworks, maple flavor, full fat. It’s as yum as it sounds!

My kid isn’t a fan of yogurt. She’s 6 now and I couldn’t even get her to eat it when she was a baby. Yet she LOVED creamed spinach back then and moved on to eating whole cans of spinach in one sitting….

Okay – that sounds MUCH better than my most recent taste test of a new yogurt… I just blogged about it late last night.

Josie, where the hell is “Spanking?”…
Personally, every kid needs a good smack every once in a while. I come from an Indian background and with my shenanigans as a child, I def got smacked around a few times (thinking back… was pretty justified haha).
I can’t remember where I saw this… but on Tv it showed that kids eating habits can be emotional and be linked to symbols. So for example, McDonalds will show happy kids meal burgers and toys and link that shit to their golden arches. When kids see golden arches, they think of happy kids meals and toys.
One guy was like… “for now on every time my kid sees the golden arches, I’m gona punch them in the face so they’ll never want to eat it in their entire lives.”
Me and grandma laughed.
Since you’re a parent, thought I’d share that with ya. What you do with this information when it comes to high fructose cornyness is totally upto you
