Tasting! DiGiorno 200 Calorie Pizza

200pizza

Are you going to DiGiorgno’s 200 Calorie Pizza Party? The box alludes to a low-cal eating soiree that might make you wanna bust some moves on the dance floor. Too bad this party comes complete with wall flowers and sloppy drunks. You sure you wanna go?

Frozen microwave pizza is pretty much all the same. DiGiorgno’s low-cal, 6-inch by 3-inch rectangular version can also be baked. It stands out for a nice, thin ‘n crispy crust with cheese that doesn’t taste cheap, but that’s it. It’s still just frozen pizza. And NOT enough of it.

200calorie I’ve had frozen pizza that cost more calories, but had better flavor. Lack of outstanding flavor is the missing link. It’s just, eh, okay. And I’m still hungry.

The box comes with two individual servings. I should smash them both together for a 400 calorie pizza sammich.

DiGiorgno’s 200 calorie pizza party is a wee bit overrated. There are tastier, more filling foods to gnaw on for 200 calories. But not this.<—don’t even think about it.

200 Calorie Notes

  • Price Paid: $3.59 for 2 individually wrapped servings
  • Calories per serving: 200, duh!
  • Fat Calories: 80
  • Total Fat: 9g
  • Sat. Fat: 4g
  • Sodium: 520mg
  • Carbs: 21g
  • Fiber: 1g
  • Sugars: 3g
  • Protein: 10g

Yum UP! to: Pizza sammiches! But how do I make that?

Yuck Down to: Drunken, sloppy wall flowers.

What a healthy way to satisfy a pizza craving!

Dunno. Think I would rather just buy an entire pizza for that price.

200 calories is about what’s contained in a quarter of an Amy’s even generic Kroger veggie pizza. Going that route would be much more cost efficient and tasty, although you can’t microwave it. That’s not a negative to me, since I hate microwaved pizza. It always manages to get hard as cement when it cools down.

Could you doctor those pizza’s up with some spices or veggies? Maybe that would make these suckers a winner.

Not a pizza person but I don’t think my hubby would like this one! :-)

I really like the Lean Cuisine pizzas! The come in a lot of flavors and although they are like 300 some cals depending on which flavor you get, they taste like good pizza! :D

I saw these the other day in the grocery store, and I was hesitant to buy one…I LOVE Digiorno’s regular pizza, and there is no need to mess with the recipe. Not even to shave off a few calories.

I’d go for 400 calories worth of pizza myself :)

Hey – thanks for stopping by my blog! :) The lemon bars are part of the MediFast program. They’re only 100 calories, and they’re yummy and delicious!

I love the idea of putting the two together

It’s actually a good idea on their part, although the pizza sandwich sounds like the best idea. Guess that’d defeat the purpose!

I’ve seen those and have a coupon for a free one. However, I didn’t realize they were so small and that there were two in a box.

Pizza sammie sounds pretty good to me…but yeah, I don’t think one would be filling for me…they look awfully teeny tiny.

I just can’t do frozen pizzas anymore. But the idea of a pizza sandwich is intriguing!

I am seriously intrigued by the idea of a pizza sandwich (take those and throw some turkey pepperoni and lots of pizza veggies in the middle). Like, I might actually purchase this and create one. I will totally share pictures if I do. ;)

I was wondering about these. My attitude about pizza is that if you are going to go for it…then GO FOR IT! I don’t eat pizza all the time so on the rare occasion that I want it I figure I should take advantage and actually get the full on good stuff!

Yobigmike January 26th, 2010 at 18:53

I can’t do a small portion of pizza. At least 3 slices and a beer……

I almost bought some of these yesterday, but decided on Red Baron french bread pizza instead. Glad I did now.
