Searching For My Greedy Eyeballs

Greedyeyeballs

This is serious, people. My greedy eyeballs popped out and I don't know where to find them. They're on a rampage! I indulged in too much Food Porn and it led to a very unfortunate, hands-on situation this past weekend.

The Confession

We ordered pizza. Lots of pizza. Almost 100 dollars worth (pathetic). Six whole pizza pies from Friday to Sunday. Four meatball and two pepperoni. It was one of those lazy, non-cooking weekends. Sorry, but I didn't want to hang out in the kitchen…unless it was to pick up my next pizza slice.

By the end of the weekend, I successfully regretfully and single-handedly consumed an absurd amount – 8 large, greasy slices to be exact. That equates to one whole entire pizza by myself. Do the math.

What the hell is wrong with me? I have a condition and I need to be rehabbed. It always starts with my greedy eyeballs and ends with me wanting to eat the pizza. I gotta shake this pizza thing. It's tripping me up.

Please help me tame my Greedy Eyeballs.

It’s not your fault…pizza is irresistible. I can barely control myself around it either. I ate 5 pieces of my ‘Halloween’ pizza. It has amazing powers. Great post. ;)

I laugh that my initial though was EIGHT? OVER THE COURSE OF A WEEKEND? THATS NOT SO BAD!!

I love pizza Yum Yucky! Eight isn’t a ton when you have four kids – because I’m sure you didn’t eat them all. Please tell me you didn’t eat them all. . .
Are you there?

Damn I can only kill 1 lg piece of pizza lol. But thanks now I want pizza!
I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s not like you ate it all in one day. Just be good the rest of the week! :D

Pizza is one of those things that it is better for me to avoid. I can consume pretty great amounts of pizza in a pretty short time. I hope you are back on track now.

Can you create a healthy pizza at home that won’t make you feel so guilty? Whole wheat crusts, cauliflower crusts, flat out wrap or tortilla crusts….loaded with veggies & lean meats. Just some food for thought! ;-)

Well, I love the crust but the rest of the pizza, I could leave be!
Hey, how about thinking about how much you have accomplished & how far you have come with your fitness & body goals & do you really want to continue down this path. How much exercise over & above your normal would it take to burn off all the calories if you kept up your pizza greedy!!!
Nothing wrong with enjoying now & then for sure BUT ongoing “greed of pizza” may be bad for Josie & her awesome bod made from hard work & diligence. Think about how you don’t want to ruin that if you continued on the greedy pizza binge!
Good luck!
PS: I do this with my cookies. I always want more than 1 or 2 of these babies have a lot of calories.. not little cookies for me.. BUT I do think about what it may cost in terms of “getting if off me” ! :-)

8 pieces? Girl I put down 11 slices in ONE DAY. I think I’m still a little bloated from it.

It’s a new day girl! Weekends usually derail my eating habits – and with a (car) trip planned to NC this weekend from (NY) – I am already scared as to what’s going to happen!

No doubt I could be fitter if I’d just let this eyeballed obsession go. Ugh.

Ahh, but that’s cooking and I mentioned lazy-ness. But this sounds good!! I could force Health-hater Husband to cook this on a weekday after work.
But uh, what’s cauliflower crust???

I would have eaten 8 pieces in one sitting. Then 8 the next day. I am more greedy.

I think your child will grow and be born greedy just from you hanging around here. I see more pizza slices in your future.

Yes, woman. 4 on Friday. 2 on Saturday. 2 on Sunday. Plus other people’s pizza crust. Dammit!!

I also have pizza problems. We ended up at Pizza Hut Saturday and I made homemade pizza Sunday. Home made is so much better and you can put whatever you want on it. AND? It is super cheap! We use whole wheat pitas for the crust and make individuals. Mine is usually chock full of veggies! give it a try!

I love pizza. If it makes you feel better, I didn’t think you ate that much either…over the course of a weekend. I hope you were able to enjoy your family since you didn’t have to be in the kitchen.
No one is perfect. Put it in the past!

i love pizza, and you need to do a Yum Yucky Food try out for Kashi Pizza, veggie. I was actually quite surprised I liked it… although the multigrain crust after baking was more like having italian veggie dip on crackers, it was still good!! LOL

Mmmmm…pizza. Actually plan to indulge this weekend in some supremey goodness because I have a MAD craving. I make sure to only buy what I’m comfortable eating in a day (so we’re snagging a medium and going to fortify with lots of salad and veggies).
But yeah, in a past life we’d polish off an extra large and some garlic twists and wash it down with a bottle of whiskey. That actually sounds pretty amazing right now… now my eyeballs are getting greedy…

Tomorrow is another day. My eyes are always more greedy than my stomach can handle. Do u do cold pizza? In collage, my roommate taught me the joys of cold pizza.

Wow, that is a lot of pizza. I guess the key question is was it good quality, thin crust pizza, or was it truly greasy grossness like Dominoes? Either way, yowza! Hopefully you’ve tamed that pizza craving for the near future, and can chow down on some real veggies and fruits for the next couple of days to compensate!
Not that I don’t feel temptation either–today at lunch my grandma baked up a dozen Pizza Bites or whatever they’re called, and set them on the table before me. A quick scan of the ingredients showed them to be relatively healthy, but still, refined flower, corn starch, preservatives, etc. I ate three, and then managed to rein myself in. Wish I’d not eaten one, but man did they smell good!

You would have saved a boat load of money by going to CiCi’s buffet. That be some eyeball heaven. Yum. Yum.

Pizza is hard to resist. Do you like to make pizza yourself? I think it’s so fun! When we were kids we used to make English muffin pizzas — I loved being able to control my own toppings lol.
