Taste Test: Kashi Mushroom Trio & Spinach Pizza

Kashipizza.

Gone are the days of eating an entire pizza by myself. Now I only eat about half. And yes, I’m working on correcting my pizza affliction, so please refrain from human jaw drop.

How does this Kashi Mushroom Trio & Spinach Pizza Sound?

“Baby Portobello, Champignon and Shiitake Mushrooms with Spinach, Mozzarella & Provolone Cheeses with a Tomato Parmesan Sauce on a Stone-Fire Crust made with Kashi 7 Whole Grains & Sesame with Flax Seed

Yeah, baby! My chompers prepared to pounce. But wait! I opened the package and it seemed half of it was missing…..NOT! It’s really small, may be enough for one of me or three of you, but not all of us put together. It’s a good thing I didn’t invite you over for sharing.

This is a vegetarian, thin crust pizza. Real thin, like “I can’t believe it’s as thin as two tortillas wraps smacked together”, but I
deactivated my disappointment when I smelled the fresh mushroom trio.

Pop this baby in the oven, but don’t walk off somewhere to shave your legs or change the oil in your car. Keep an eye on the time because it cooks fast. When you get to the other side of 7 to 9 minutes cooking time, you’ll get a dose of delectable goodness.

The thin layer of Tomato Parmesan sauce is actually the perfect amount, and oh so flavorful. Everything about the pizza tastes fresh as if the ingredients were just purchased from your local farmer’s market. The spinach is divine, the generous portion of mushrooms
are thickly sliced, the Mozzarella-Provolone blend is delicious, and the crust is packed with whole grain & flax seed flavor.

Note: If you own kids or anyone else with an woolly mammoth-sized appetite, you need to buy at least two of these to make everyone happy.

Reactions from the Taste Test Crew

Health-hater Husband: I’m not eating that. (20 minutes later) Why didn’t you save me a piece?

Greedy Kid #1: The cheese is really flavorful and even though the crust is too thin, I still feel satisfied.

Greedy Kid #2: Kashi makes pizza? Who ate it all? (Sorry, dude)

Yum UP! to: People who change their car oil while baking pizza.

Yuck Down to: Hairy legs (unless you’re a woman man).

Love your reviews! That actually looks really good and I too am not a fan of the frozen pizza brand.

Oil changes, hairy legs, and pizza all in one post! You never know what you’ll come up with next. But while you’re dreaming that up, I’m going to go pick up some of that pizza!

Ya I could never get hubby to try this. The healthiest pizza we have ever gotten was the thin crust margarita pizza from California Pizza Kitchen (MMMM it was good though!)

So far the only Kashi veg pizza I didn’t like was Kashi Roasted Garlic Chicken Pizza – holy garlic!

That looks good! I’m not a big fan of frozen pizza, so I don’t usually venture near that aisle. Thanks for sharing, it looks and sounds good enough to give it a taste!

So, did hubby like it? I am not sure my hubby will..
I am not a pizza fan due to can’t do cheese but I would take the crust only! :-)
I nearly fainted when you said you were working on your pizza addiction! Will cake be next??? ;-)

I have seen the Kashi pizzas but never picked one up! My fiance baked himself a Digiorno tonight. I looked at the ingredient list and politely declined :)

I don’t know what it is about those Kashi thin crusts, but I LOVE them. They just have a fabulous texture to them, and the toppings are delish!
