Grocer Threatens to Inflict Head Trauma

Take a good look. This is what I saw during a late night food run to my local (very popular) grocery store. So what’s the big deal, eh?
They propped a piece of thin plywood over top an aisle, put heavy food items on display at the very edge (some in glass containers), then added an entire table & chair set for good measure. Whaaat?
Can somebody say “lawsuit”? This rigged contraption already appears to be caving in. What are the odds that it will either break and inflict trauma on somebody’s skull, or come crashing down from an idiot prankster who jumps up to touch it?
But should I really be shocked? This is the same store that sells warm, unrefrigerated cheese. I figure none of this matters anyway. What’s really important is that table & chair set. It’s on sale for $99.99!

Oh my gosh – that store is crazy! Your daughter should ask for major $ for posing as the food model – while in the store! Lol.

Yikes! Talk about an accident waiting to happen! You’re right, Josie, I can see that the wood is bowed at the center. What in the world were they thinking and doesn’t anyone else who works at that store have any common sense? :-0
Josie, thanks so much for the lovely, supportive comment you left on my post yesterday. I truly appreciate it.

I rarely use LOL but I did LOL at “What’s really important is that table & chair set. It’s on sale for $99.99!” you are crazy! haha!

and yes, they really need to check themselves with this display. i can only imagine the calamity when this thing comes tumbling down!
but then you might be able to get an even deeper discount! “slightly worn table+chairs; priced to sell!”

I’m wondering when I’ll be flagged by security for taking pictures in their store. My daughter (Grocery Girl) hates when I make her be the food model at this store. Now I have to pay her cash for every food pic she’s in.

…she’s like “Mom! People are staring”. Then I have to take the pic like 3 times to get it right. She gets really P-O’d. HA!

Hey Josie,
I love the new look here!!! The header is great!
…could give “clean up in aisle 7″ a brand new meaning. Does it feel weird walking under it?
And that your daughter doesn’t like to be your “model” at the store – that IS funny!!

that is crazy! seriously, can you imagine when that stuff falls on some poor baby’s head. And why do grocery stores sell tables and chairs anyway? Perhaps if they focused just on food, they could do it right?!
